The Launch
Mr Paolo Bosi founds Pibiplast, a company specialised in injection moulded plastic packaging for the pharmaceutical industry.
1972
From Pharmaceuticals To Cosmetics
With the second generation of the family joining the company, production gradually shifts from pharmaceutical to cosmetics packaging, focusing on the skincare and bodycare sector.
1988
PET In The Cosmetics Industry
Pibiplast is the first European company to start using PET in the cosmetics industry, anticipating market demands and abandoning the use of PVC.
2002
Pibiplast Acquires Bomal
Pibiplast acquires 100% of Bomal, a small company specialised in the production of make-up components (mascara, lip gloss, eyeliners…), thus expanding its product range. The merger of the two companies enables a real fusion of knowledge and expertise, consolidating a position of strength on the international market.
2012
In-House Production Of Brushes
Brushes are the critical component of mascara and Pibiplast decides to invest in its own brush production line. This frees the company from reliance on third party manufacturers, incentivising the commitment to innovation.
2013
Tubes Finally Arrive!
Pibiplast acquires 100% of a manufacturing company that produces plastic tubes and caps for the cosmetics industry, once again expanding its product range.
2014
Acquisition Of Plast Line
Pibiplast acquires 100% of Plast Line, a company with high production capacity in extrusion blow moulding, specialised in the production of bottles for the large-scale retail industry. This allows the group to reach a new client category, previously far from its sights.
2015
Inauguration Of New Warehouse
Pibiplast opens a new, dedicated warehouse facility, at the same time expanding the area reserved for decoration and assembly processes.
2018
A New Chapter In The Company’s History
Also, a new chapter in the company’s history: for the first time, two private equity firms, L Catterton and Ambienta sgr, made their entrance in the company’s property. The two firms embrace the two existing Pibiplast’s souls, which will strengthen the growth path and strategy of the company itself, accelerating Pibiplast’s strategy of sustainable development.
